I used to be an air cadet for 7? years, and retired as a flight sergeant LOL Im in college right now for policing.

This was my class. Honestly, it wasn't hard, but? it wasn't easy. However, I come from a military/law enforcement background and knew what I was getting myself into. I was fully prepared mentally and physically. Around 30 recruits were weeded out in this class. There is a rhyme and reason to everything the DI's do in the academy. But it's up to the individual to continue his/her training and stay ahead of the game. And may I add, these DI's are OUTSTANDING PEOPLE!!

This whole scherade is, to an extent, avoidable. You have plenty of time prior to this day to get in shape, get your s**t together mentally, and maybe wake the hell up early and have your self in order enough to just not look like an easy target. Dont let the noise get to you. If u do get picked on have the intestinal fortitude to sound off correctly. Its just yelling.? I don't think I heard them swear or saw them touch anyone. Not that rough.

To Hillberg100, showing your ignorance, or stupidity. The sheriff is a county official, elected at large. He does not work for the city of Los Angeles or the mayor. He is not appointed he is elected. He answers only to the electorate. He does have to? get his budget through the county board of supervisors but does not answer to them on policy matters. LAPD handles the city of Los Angeles and they answer to the mayor.

Being a crab fisherman? is more dangerous than law enforcement though. Most people really put an emphasis on how dangerous a cops job really is. 30 LEOs are killed a year. 200 military personnel are killed a year.

When a law enforcement officer is on duty they are not civilians they are law enforcement officers...put it this way when you pull someone over for a regular traffic stop, say? tail light is out and youre going to give a fix it ticket, your partner goes to talk to the people and gets shot in the face...what are you going to think/how are you going to handle the next regular traffic stop you make? You cant take ANYTHING lightly ever because the moment you do you die.

Law Enfor is paramilitary. And to the "blue caps at midnight" comments. Yes If the legislative body? of the country were to enact such a law (though very unlikey) we would enforce that law. Not because we like it, not because we agree with it, not because we benefit from it. But because our job is to enforce the law. We dont develop, reasearch, comment on, or implement laws. Our job is simply to enfore the laws already created,to bring alleged violatiors before courts and? allow a jjury to decide
